About Us

Who we are and why this site exists.

What dockge.org is

dockge.org is an independent informational website dedicated to Dockge, the open-source, self-hosted Docker compose.yaml stack manager created by Louis Lam. We publish clear download information, step-by-step installation tutorials, configuration guides and troubleshooting help so that new users can get productive with Dockge quickly.

What we publish

  • Getting-started material: installation, first login and the default port
  • Practical tutorials: managing stacks, converting docker run commands, multi-agent setups
  • Maintenance guides: safe updates and fixes for common errors
  • Honest comparisons, such as Dockge vs Portainer

Our relationship with the Dockge project

We are an independent community resource. dockge.org is not the official project website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Dockge developers. Software, release and security links point to upstream sources, and full credit for Dockge belongs to its author and contributors.

Editorial approach

Every guide is written to be reproducible: commands are shown exactly as they should be typed, defaults are stated explicitly, and limitations of the software are mentioned honestly alongside its strengths. When the project changes, we update the affected guides.

Editorial standards

dockge.org is an independent documentation site. We do not publish modified Dockge builds, and we direct software downloads and release checks to the official louislam/dockge repository.

  • Release-sensitive guides are checked against the official README and release notes.
  • Pages show a visible last-verified date when technical details may change.
  • Corrections are made when upstream behavior changes or a reader reports a reproducible error.
  • Comparisons distinguish documented facts from opinion and avoid unsupported performance claims.

Independence and trademarks

Dockge, its software and official project assets belong to their respective owners. The use of the Dockge name on this site is descriptive and does not imply endorsement, partnership or official status.
